| This horse was the best that any kid could have grown up with. She was 76 and I was just a bit before in 75. And our family had some ponies but she was the first horse that my younger sisters and I had learned to ride. She was laid back enough to be trusted with the youngest of us but still had enough fire to go and compete in running events. In her later years she got a bit stubborn about going in an arena but after having helped me and my 4 sisters to learn to ride I don't think anyone could blame the old gal. One year a horse trader lied and convinced us he'd find her a good home. No room for the rest of story here but 5 kids took their 4-H money to save this girl... And that's how good she was
