Sold as a yearling for 3,200 guineas. Bowed both front tendons during training and never started. Imported to USA. Originally at stud in 1941 at Louis B. Mayer's farm in California. In 1947 relocated to Spendthrift Farm KY where he died in 1960. He is buried at Green Gates Farm in Lexington. In the top ten leading U.S. sire lists eleven times. His 54 SWs (14%) include Kentucky Derby winner Determine. Others are Flower Bowl, My Host, Honey's Alibi, Moslem Chief, Your Host, Traffic Judge, Bardstown, Mr. Consistency, Solidarity, Cover Up, etc. Also a top broodmare sire, Flower Bowl being the dam of Graustark and His Majesty and Bowl of Flowers. Died in 1960.
