Strain: Kuhaylah Rudaniyah GSB*764; AHR #600
Foaled in England and imported at age 4, to the United States by WK Kellogg for Kellogg Arabian Ranch, Pomona, California. Dam of eleven registered Arabian foals, five fillies and six colts. Sold 1935 to Beverly Young, Arvin, California where she was the dam of four registered Arabian foals This mare was the subject of some discussion by Arabian breeders as she was registered as being sired by (the bay) NADIR (1901) or (the grey) SKOWRONEK (1909), her dam (the bay) RABLA (1899) having been bred to both stallions. Since it is the General Stud Book of England ruling that every stallion to which a mare is bred, must be listed, both of these were given as *RAIDA'S sire. Research done by geneticists as to inheritance of coat color in horses indicates that a grey horse always has one grey parent, if not both *RAIDA showed every hallmark of the SKOWRONEK line, including color, conformation and bone References: - Arabianhorses.org/datasource
